Anthropic finally moved past coding. On April 28 the company shipped nine official Claude connectors plugging straight into Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Premiere, Express, 50+ apps), Blender, Autodesk Fusion, Ableton Live, Splice, Affinity, SketchUp, and Resolume.
What the connectors actually do
These are MCP-based agents, not chat plugins. In Blender, Claude reads your whole scene through the Python API, explains complex node setups, batch-applies changes across objects, and writes new tools that live in Blender’s UI. In Ableton, answers are grounded in the official Live and Push docs — no more hallucinated MIDI routing. The Adobe connector spans the entire Creative Cloud surface, a wholly different scale than any single Firefly feature.
Why this matters
ChatGPT owns the consumer creative narrative. Adobe Firefly owns in-app generation. Anthropic just opened a third front: Claude as the agent layer sitting above existing pro tools rather than replacing them. The Blender Foundation also confirmed Anthropic kicked in a one-time donation, with continued support pledged for the Python API the bridge depends on.
All nine ship today across every Claude plan, no waitlist.
