Most “AI data analyst” tools wait for you to type. Basedash Suggestions doesn’t. It’s an agent feature bolted onto Basedash’s BI platform that reads your connected databases, past chats, and existing dashboards, then tells you what’s worth looking at — no prompt required.
What it actually does
Three flavors of suggestion. Chat prompts (“which channels drove last week’s order spike?”). Prebuilt dashboards (a ready-made “Ad Performance” board). And scheduled automations (“low-stock alert”). One click runs any of them, and used suggestions rotate out for fresh ones. Everything routes through Basedash’s semantic layer, so “activation rate” means the same SQL everywhere — that’s how they keep the numbers honest instead of hallucinated.
Why it’s worth watching
The AI content is real, not decoration: about 50% of new dashboards in beta now start from a suggestion, not a manual prompt. That’s the actual bet here — going from a chatbot you interrogate to an agent that surfaces the analysis before you knew to ask. It’s live on all paid tiers, Basedash’s 25th update.
