Huawei Cloud pushed CodeArts Agent (Huawei Cloud) into open beta at its Thailand Summit in Bangkok on July 24, 2026. It’s a coding agent — IDE, autonomous dev loop, and Huawei’s own coding model fused into one tool. Not autocomplete. It does project-level code generation, code completion, R&D knowledge Q&A, and auto-generated unit tests.
What the agent actually does
Think of it as a coworker that reads your whole repo, writes across files, answers “how does our auth work,” and ships tests you’d otherwise skip. The model is Huawei’s own, not a wrapper on someone else’s API — which is the point when your pitch is domestic replacement.
