The first batch sold out before Christmas. Sandbar — spun out of ex-Meta Reality Labs — has reopened pre-orders for its Stream Ring, locked to a summer 2026 ship. Silver is $249, gold $299, both with three months of Stream Pro before the $10/month subscription kicks in.
A mouse for voice
Stream Ring sits on your index finger. Inside is a touchpad: press, talk, release. The ring buzzes when it has heard you, then silently updates a note or replies through your earbuds. No screen, no wake word. Sandbar is calling this “a mouse for voice” — the phrase that has been bouncing around X all month, alongside Pebble Index and Wizpr in the suddenly crowded AI ring lane.
Why agents care
Sandbar pulled $23M Series A on March 10 and quietly opened a developer waitlist. The Stream app handles capture and routes inference to the backend; the roadmap is third-party skills and shortcuts, so an agent can read your dictated notes or push a press-and-hold prompt back to your finger. Voice in, agent out, no phone in hand.
