Not another agent. ECC / Everything Claude Code is a discipline layer you bolt on top of the coding agent you already use, and it’s sitting at 235,000 GitHub stars, still adding 800+ a day.
What it actually is
Affaan Mustafa built it over 10 months of daily use, won the Anthropic hackathon with it in September 2025, then open-sourced the whole thing (MIT) in January 2026. It ships 67 agents, 281 skills, hooks, persistent memory, and an AgentShield security scanner. The point: make the agent research and plan before it touches code, spin up a fresh context to review its own work, and save whatever worked as a reusable skill. It turns a model that writes code into a teammate with engineering habits.
Why it matters
Most tooling locks you into one harness. ECC runs across Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, plus Gemini, Zed, and Copilot. Drop in the config and every agent inherits the same memory, guardrails, and learned instincts — no rewiring. That cross-agent reach is why it’s now the highest-starred agent config layer going.
