KEYi Tech took a shortcut. Instead of cramming a SoC into another desktop bot, they built a 3-DOF motorized head with a MagSafe socket and let your iPhone be the brain, the face, and the camera. The base also doubles as a 165W GaN charger with 3× USB-C and 1× USB-A — even if you hate talking to the head, the desk gets a power hub.
What the hardware actually does
iPhone 12+ snaps onto the magnetic stand. Three near-silent brushless servos handle yaw, pitch, and roll, so it tracks you while you talk. Voice latency is ~0.5s with no wake word — a vision + audio fusion model decides when you’re addressing it. The screen-aware trick is the headline: it reads what’s on your iPhone, and via a desktop sync layer your Mac or PC, so you can say “summarize this” without showing it anything.
API hooks for agent builders
The companion app ships with 50+ integrations out of the gate — Gmail, Slack, Google Calendar, Zoom — plus an OpenClaw framework with CLI and model-key support. An agent you already wrote can drive DeskMate to draft an email, push a Slack note, schedule a Zoom, then physically nod when it’s done. iPhone is your inference layer; the robot is the actuator.
Launched April 2 on Kickstarter at $219 early bird, ~$550K raised against a $10K goal. Shipping late May 2026. iPhone-only — Android users, not invited.
