Announced August 26, Claudeforce is a two-way merger of the #1 CRM and Anthropic’s Claude. It’s an agent play, not a chatbot integration: Claude becomes the default reasoning model behind Salesforce’s Atlas Reasoning Engine, Agentforce Vibes, and Agentforce Coworker. In the other direction, Salesforce ships as a plugin inside Claude with 37 prebuilt sales skills — meeting prep, deal health checks, pipeline review — reading and writing live CRM data with governed actions. VentureBeat’s take: you may never open the Salesforce app again.
What you can actually build with it
Claude is selectable in Agentforce Agent Builder, so any custom enterprise agent can run on Claude’s reasoning. On the Claude side, the plugin turns live revenue data into interactive dashboards Claude generates on the fly. Ask Claude to prep a meeting and it pulls the account, scores the deal, updates the pipeline — no tab-switching.
Why this matters
Every CRM vendor claimed to be model-agnostic. Salesforce just picked a side. When the biggest enterprise software company makes one lab’s model its default and hands distribution to that lab’s consumer app, the agentic software war stops being theoretical. Pilot customers now, open beta in September.
